CALM 24/7 Intelligent dMEV Extractor Fan
Social Housing|New Builds|Retrofit
CALM 24/7 combines continuous low-energy extraction with sustained mould-risk response, protected setup and a controlled local operating record—giving property teams clearer evidence without relying on tenant Wi-Fi or an ongoing subscription. Its IP45 enclosure supports fixed installation in bathroom Zones 1 and 2 when installed in accordance with BS 7671 and the manufacturer’s instructions.
* Fixed installation only. 30 mA RCD protection is required. Install in accordance with the current edition of BS 7671 and the manufacturer’s instructions.
Long rigid-duct run.
5 m of 100 mm rigid duct. Four R = D bends. One external grille.
A demanding rigid-duct layout for CALM 24/7 dMEV bathroom ventilation where the external grille is further from the fan.

Explore what CALM 24/7 can do
Six focused features make setup simpler, ventilation more responsive and property performance easier to understand. Select a card to discover the benefit in more detail.
Made to sit quietly in the room
Four outcomes, One intelligent platform
Maintain the baseline
Designed to keep background extraction active between moisture events, with higher airflow when configured triggers call for it.
Recognise sustained conditions
Distinguishes longer-running risk patterns from a short-lived humidity rise, helping teams focus attention where it may be needed.
Protect commissioned settings
Separates everyday operation from engineering controls, helping the agreed setup remain available for review after handover.
Review the sequence of events
Shows conditions, responses, faults and interruptions in sequence, giving inspections and maintenance visits better context.
A single visit rarely tells the whole story
Conditions may have changed hours before an inspection. Humidity may have risen, the room may have cooled, the fan may have boosted or the power may have been interrupted. By the time a team visits, everything may appear normal.
Designed for the real world
Designed to support compliant ventilation and better-informed housing response
For projects in England, CALM 24/7 can support a compliant dMEV strategy, but compliance remains project-specific. It depends on the edition in force, correct product selection, design, installation, airflow testing and documented commissioning.
Approved Document F
Designed to support decentralised continuous mechanical extract ventilation, with adjustable trickle and boost airflow for bathrooms, kitchens and other wet rooms.
The 2021 edition currently applies to most work. The 2026 edition is scheduled to take effect from 24 March 2027, with separate dates and transitional arrangements for relevant higher-risk building work. Confirm the applicable route before specification.
Approved Document L
The 2026 edition lists maximum Specific Fan Power (SFP): 0.30 W/l/s for continuous decentralised mechanical extract ventilation and is scheduled to take effect from 24 March 2027 for most work in England.
Confirm the applicable edition and transitional route, then verify installed airflow and electrical power against approved product data.
Awaab’s Law
Government guidance recognises that environmental monitoring can help landlords identify early signs of damp and mould and investigate reported hazards promptly.
CALM 24/7 records environmental conditions and fan operation, giving authorised housing teams additional context to support timely inspections, repairs and resident communication.

Clear on the fan. Detailed when downloaded.
The LCD gives authorised installers and service engineers immediate access to live conditions and operating status. The wider data record can provide longer-term context for understanding patterns, investigating complaints and reviewing settings.
- Live room temperature
- Live relative humidity
- Current trickle or boost mode
- Basic fault and diagnostic codes
- Protected menu access
- Guided commissioning workflow
A clearer history of the property and the fan
Authorised teams can retrieve a controlled local record without depending on tenant Wi-Fi or an ongoing monitoring subscription.
Set. Record. Protect.
CALM 24/7 is designed to make correct setup clearer for installers and help restrict casual changes after handover. Trickle and boost airflows are adjusted on site, measured at the fan and recorded alongside power consumption and SFP where required.
- Quick setup for common installations
- Adjustable trickle and boost speeds
- Humidity trigger and run-on control
- PIN-protected commissioning menu
- Airflow and SFP recording
- Service and fault-finding support
CALM 24/7 compared with conventional extract
Intermittent extractor fan
- Suited to straightforward intermittent extract applications.
- Normally stops between demand periods.
- Limited long-term environmental context.
- Performance depends heavily on activation and use.
CALM 24/7
- Continuous trickle with automatic high-rate response.
- Integrated Mould Risk Sensor™ with four profiles.
- LCD status, fault information and data logging.
- PIN-protected commissioning and controlled retrieval.
Conventional dMEV fan
- Supports continuous ventilation strategies.
- Humidity or switched boost may be available.
- Setup controls vary by product.
- Environmental and operating history may be limited.
More than extraction. A clearer basis for action.
